We are organising various workshops during the festival. Some of the performing musicians will give initiations. For our visitors this is a nice opportunity to learn something from the musicians they have seen at the festival. The Ukrainian and Portuguese artists will conduct an initiation into the dances of their respective countries. André Deru and Thierry Legros will lead a dulcimer workshop. Piia Kleemola will teach how to play Finnish style fiddling. Dr Eugène will tell you how you can improve your vocal cords. There will also be interplay sessions for all kinds of instruments, a folk guitar workshop and a nyckelharpa clinic.

We have invited special guests to provide some of our initiations : Leen Van Gils will introduce us to laughter yoga and Rosita Tahon will show us how to play bones !

Workshops will be given at four different times during the festival. Additional information is available on our website and the festival flyers also mention when the initiations are given.

You can participate in a workshop by paying the small contribution of € 2,50 p.p.

To borough a didgeridoo, dulcimer or bodhran, we ask € 1,00 per instrument. There are only a limited number of these instruments available.
