The plucked dulcimer (or fretted board zither) is a modest drone instrument that has come to play a major part in our folk music tradition. Many dance tunes and songs from the various regions of our country have become core repertoire for dulcimer players.

On Saturday afternoon Salon Ambroisine will play a delightful set of dulcimer music. After their concert André Deru and Thierry Legros will provide an initiation into dulcimer playing. This session is for anyone who wants to get acquainted with their playing skill and repertoire. A few dulcimers will be available. ( dulcimer on sol/do )
